Varying levels of evil

Okay, so I think we can safely say that the concept of mayo is disgusting, and that the end result is pure evil. What my question is, how do you feel about the varying levels of mayoness?

Level 1 - Pure mayo, used as a way to ruin an otherwise good sandwich, and for some reason put on any chicken type sandwich in restaurants. Apparently also used for dipping of french fries by some particularily saddistic individuals.

Level 2 - Mayo mixed with a side dish, or as a main ingredient in a dish. Potato and some types of pasta salad come to mind.

Level 3 - Mayo based dipping sauces and flavorings. Ranch is mainly what I am thinking about, but all of those aoili sauces that you see at restaurants that have some other type of flavoring like pesto or sun-dried tomato.

My opinion is that 1 and 2 make me ill and I want no part of it, and I will often ask to not have number 3 if it comes with whatever I am eating...but if my sandwich came with number 3 on it, I probably wouldn't send it back and in fact in a few rare instances I actually wanted it.

So there you go. The 3 levels of mayo. Let me know what you think, or if there should be additional levels or examples added.

I have to disagree. I find you three levels to be equals. In fact I think your #2 is almost worse than #1 because usually there is more mayonnaise. As for #3, just recently I have had some salad dressings like cesear and some other, but only extremly sparingly and most of the time would chose none over these options.

But I agree anything creamy whether it actually has mayo or not is a big, NO.

I want to make it clear that although I have them listed as level 1 and level 2, I find both of these equally appalling, and I was thinking of the levels more in terms of purity of evil. The more pure the mayo experience, the more evil it is.

What I don't understand is why mayo is pushed so hard in restaurants. It is of course evil, which should keep people from wanting it to begin with. But it is also horrible for you, and really you can add plenty of flavor using "good" condiments like all the varieties of mustard (except for of course dijonaise, which is the ugly red-headed step child of an unholy marriage between mustard and mayo).
